Celebrating the End of Pride Month!

June 30, 2025

As Pride month concludes, we invite you to participate in a virtual storytelling initiative. Volunteers will be given the resources to record themselves reading LGBTQ+-affirming children’s books aloud stories that center on belonging, and identity. For many youth, early exposure to inclusive stories can be life-changing. Seeing characters who may reflect their identity or who simply model kindness and acceptance can offer affirmation and greater inclusivity. At the same time, these books help all children learn to value differences in identity and recognize individuality.

‍

These recordings will be shared with classrooms, libraries, and community centers that serve young audiences, especially in regions where access to inclusive resources is limited. By participating, you’ll help provide positive representation for young readers while promoting inclusivity and understanding through literature. Your participation plays a vital role in this initiative. By lending your voice and time, you’re helping to ensure that children, regardless of what resources they have, are given the chance see themselves reflected in the stories they hear while learning to read. Your contribution to more inclusive literary resources will directly help educate literary fluency while encouraging acceptance and individuality from an early age.

‍

This opportunity is open to anyone, from corporate employees to young adults and retirees. Volunteering can be done through an app we will provide, allowing reading and recording to be done at each own’s pace and schedule. To sign-up fill out the form below and our team will provide you with the resources and software to get started.
